Neurodivergence is not personality traits
Here I'm not talking about the differences in communication, perception, processing, but about personality traits. These traits, within the frame of a neurotypical "personality", can even be praised in our society, and be considered very positive. However an autistic person who very often has these traits, is being invalidated and not acknowledged for them.
We develop in a different way, and our true development is what is being rejected, and seen as a personality that hasn't developed. They see the result of a struggle to function through a frame of a personality that they can recognise, our struggle to communicate, to connect, not even to fit in, but to survive. These "personalities" will eventually, sooner or later be rejected. It's not getting us far. They don't let our true capacity be reached. Masking is lose/lose. And ableist to expect from autistic people to mask in order to function in society.
